Simply put we are a husband and wife team that loves to go "junkin". Like most people, we started out just collecting things we loved, but soon found ourselves drawn to the forgotten things that nobody else wanted. Bits and pieces, trash to some that just looked like they should be "something".
In 2004 we became "Rustic Remakes" and our focus turned to
"Found Object Art".
Still "junkers" at heart we frequent estate sales, flea markets, farm sales, junk shops, auctions and tag sales in search of interesting pieces to use in our art.
All of our art is constructed using 90%-95% recycled materials and we pay special attention to the preservation of the "as found" patina, character and history of the items we use. After all, each of those pieces already has its own story to tell....we simply add another chapter.
